    Android devices that "work" with EORA 3D scanner Empty Android devices that "work" with EORA 3D scanner

    Post by aae83 Thu Jan 11, 2018 11:49 pm

    Hello, all.

    My smart-device, a Samsung Galaxy S5 (originally on the compatibility list) is now not to be supported by EORA 3D.  I'm starting this topic looking for feedback from others regarding their success with their Android devices, to help me consider options.

    Personally, I'm unlikely to "upgrade" my phone for the purpose of 3D scanning, but others might have an interest in your specific device, so please chime in on your success (or lack thereof) with any and all Android devices - phones and tablets.

    In particular, I'm curious if anyone has found a small Android device (e.g., a tablet) that might work with the EORA 3D.

    Thanks,

    @3dworld:

    How did you get your Galaxy S8 to work with the scanner?
    Do you see the settings button in your Android app?
    I have tried with a Galaxy Note 4 and with Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
    On both I can't see a settings button.
    How did you get your S8 paired with the scanner and turntable?
    Thanks in advance!

    It seems so, that you don't need the settings button at all - not like with iOS.
    I have just startet the camera in the app shortly, than clicked back and afterwards the calibration button and the phone connects to the device automatically and the calibration started :-)
    Even if the calibration has failed, the app works in general.

    Galaxy Note 5 fails: no settings, won't calibrate, won't scan.
