    Calibration tips Empty Calibration tips

Post by izb Tue Jan 09, 2018 10:08 pm

I found that one mistake I'd made was to leave the turntable in front of the scanner when setting up for a scan.

It seems that you need to leave the turntable out of the way to get a ground scan before it does the quick sweep to line up the crosshair on the turntable. Only then do you put the turntable in front of the scanner.

If you don't do that, the scan will be very tornado effect.

That said, there is still a little bit of alignment problems in my scans. I'm hoping I can calibrate that away though with a few more attempts.

Just in case someone made the same mistake as I did...

I made the same mistake when I got my first tornado effect. Removing the turntable for the first align sweep is a very good idea Wink
There is still a little tornado trend but the results are much better.

Calibration tips Empty 1 MP in four attempts

Post by davidatgh Mon Jan 15, 2018 5:12 pm

It took me four attempts, but I finally got a successful calibration at 1 MP. Having the entire grid of dots appear inside the blue box on the screen appears to be the most important factor for a successful calibration.
